  • Minnetonka High School Fencing

    Learn new skills, basic techniques and train to compete! Explore all three Fencing Weapons: Epee, Sabre & Foil. Emphasizing blade work, footwork and balance. Open to all levels of experience! All materials are provided for this program. The last hour of practice will focus greater on the middle schoolers since they will be coming later into practice. *Optional competitions may be available at an additional cost to the participant. Competitions are $30 each and students must compete in 2 competitions to qualify for the State Tournament. Sixth Graders cannot compete in the competitions. Coached by Maria Benford: Trained in Cuba for the Olympic team. Current head coach of Southwest Christian High School, a former head coach at St. Catherine College and St. Mary's High School.
  • Tonka Mountain Bike Club

    Ride with this recreational club of 6th-12th graders of all skill levels who share an interest in mountain biking. The Club organizes local trail rides for enjoyment and skill development. Club capacity is based on the number of adult ride leads in order to comply with established safety guidelines. Please indicate your willingness to be a ride lead when you register your participant. Schedule: September and October, 2-3 times/week, tentatively Tuesdays and Saturdays. Races are not a feature of the Club, but there are Metro-area races that individuals could pursue if interested. Special events may include Fall de Tonka the last Sunday in September (as a rider or a volunteer). Registration Fee: $125 Additional Costs and Requirements: Additional apparel may be purchased but not required. Participants must provide their own bike, helmet, and transportation.   • Ultimate Frisbee Fall League

    Calling all high school ultimate players! The MNU High School Fall League returns this September. Practice: Mon/Wed from 3:30-5:30pm at Minnetonka Middle School East. Practices will being on 9/3 and end on 10/31. Games: Games played Saturdays, September 7th through November 2nd at Lake Nokomis Fields Games times are 9:00am, 10:45am, 12:30pm Teams can expect to play 1-2 games per week Timeline: 9/3 - League Schedule Released 9/7 - Fall League Season Begins 9/7-10/12 - Saturday League Games 10/19 - NO GAMES - MEA Weekend 10/26-11/2 - League Playoffs All players will need to register for their MN Ultimate membership separately at Minnesota Ultimate Player Registration. MNU registration for fall league is free.
