Children will learn soccer basics in our introductory league. Each session includes skills practice and a game. We will have fun while developing social and motor skills! Parent volunteers are needed to coach teams. All equipment provided; please send your child with a filled water bottle, wearing athletic clothing and tennis shoes; children may bring a soccer ball if they wish. Players will receive a team t-shirt on the first day. Registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis until Wednesday, March 25. Coaches will call families with the team assignments by Sunday, April 5. Waitlist: If your child's age group is in "waitlist" status when you register, it means that the teams are full or teams are currently being created. Please complete the registration to be placed on a waitlist (your credit card will not be charged unless your child is placed on a team). You will be contacted by Community Education if we are able to get your child on a team because another player has canceled or another team has been formed. In order to create more teams, we need a certain number of participants to be put on the waitlist, please place your child on the waitlist in hopes we can create another team. Parent Coaches: Have fun coaching your son or daughter and teammates. We'll provide curriculum, training and support to help you and your team have a great experience! Please indicate your desire to coach on the registration form. The coaches meeting/training will be held on Wednesday, April 1, from 6-6:45 pm in room 205 at the Minnetonka Community Education Center (MCEC). Refunds: Participants wishing to cancel for a refund, minus the $10 cancellation fee, must do so by Wednesday, March 25. After Wednesday, March 25, refunds will be issued only in the case of illness or injury. Picture Day: Saturday Session - Saturday, April 18. Tuesday Session - Tuesday, April 21.
