Ginny Yurich is a Michigan mother of five and the founder and CEO of 1000 Hours Outside; a global movement, media company and lifestyle brand with a mission centered around reclaiming childhood, reconnecting families and helping people live a fuller life. She is the host and producer of the extremely popular The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast, a keynote public speaker, zinnia enthusiast, and published author. Her latest best-selling book, ‘Until The Streetlights Come On’, (Baker Books) was released in November 2023. Holding a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan, Ginny and her husband, Josh have been married for over 21 years and are lifelong Michiganders. They love raising their five children on their little hobby farm in “The Great Lakes State.”

You will have the opportunity to improve your game, learn new strategies, and compete with other players of similar age and skill levels. Skills include ball-handling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, this will be an exciting and challenging basketball experience for all! Build important physical and mental basketball skills through intentional training and 3-on-3 gameplay in this premier league. 3-on-3 basketball provides more action and repetitions for each player while building essential basketball skills. Bring a friend and compete with and against them throughout the session. Typical evenings will consist of 45 minutes of skill development and 45 minutes of gameplay. The first session will include evaluations to create teams of equal skill level, please note that teams could change throughout the session. There will be a tournament during the last session. Each participant will receive a jersey which should be worn each week. Create Nintendo-inspired characters using TinkerCAD while learning 3D design skills. Participate in fun Nintendo-inspired challenges and create themed video games while waiting for your prints to finish. 1-2 student-designed projects will be printed and sent home. Take your traditional Minnetonka Preschool class outdoors! This course will spend at least half of the class time outside daily (weather permitting) in our Outdoor Learning Center (OLC) and exploring the wooded area behind MCEC. Outdoor play and learning allows your child the opportunity to develop their brain, body and social-emotional intelligence through discovery, while also developing respect and appreciation for our natural world. The class will focus on nature related thematic units including insects, trees, seasons, animals and more.
