The only thing better than taking a breathtaking hike outdoors is enjoying those views with friends. Grab a friend and join us as we explore Minnesota trails together this summer and discover the beauty of nature. The details: Hikes will take place at Southwest Metro regional parks/trails every Wednesday through the Winter. The regional parks/trails utilized will be: Gale Woods Farms, Carver Park Reserve and Wolsfeld Woods Scientific Natual Area. Participants will receive instructions/directions for each week via email. Appropriate footwear and attire are an absolute must for the hikes. We step over trees, cross muddy rivers, the trails are rooty and rocky. We won't be on asphalt, so bring footwear with traction. We will go at a moderate pace, 2-2.5 miles an hour for 45-60 minutes depending upon the trail, conditions, and number of stops to take in the view or check-out a wildflower. Fitness test: Must be able to stand on one foot unsupported for 10 seconds to attend either group and hike for an hour.
