  • Intro to Ninja

    Ninjas develop strength and agility by learning different styles and techniques to master all obstacles! We have warped walls, angled steps, salmon ladders, cliffhangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja-inspired obstacles! Increase flexibility, coordination and self-esteem that can be transferred into ninja levels testing or enhance other athletic performances. All classes are coached by an experienced Ninja Trainer.
  • Introduction to Track & Field

    Run, jump and throw your way into the world of track and field! Participate in sprinting, javelin, shot put, relay, jumping and distance running, while focusing on technique. Participants should bring water and athletic shoes
  • Minnetonka Elementary Run Club

    Improve your overall fitness and learn the essentials of proper form, drills, hydration and nutrition, proper warm-up and cool-down, breathing, stretching and pacing. Participants should come ready for each session, which will involve continuous running for ½ to 1 ½ miles, depending on their grade level. Sessions are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 50 minutes, with times varying based on the school the child attends. Participants will meet their coach in front of the school each morning. Students will be brought back into the school at the school's first bell. Participants are encouraged to bring warm and comfortable clothing, running shoes, a water bottle and a breakfast snack for afterward. Participants are provided with a Run Club t-shirt. Open to boys and girls in grades 2-5. We will end the program with a Track Meet on June 7th at 12:00 pm at the Minnetonka High School Track. This event is an opportunity to build confidence, create positive memories, and foster a love for running. Athletes will be able to participate in up to two events. Events include a 1-mile run, 800m run, 400m run, 200 m run, 100m dash, and a 4 x 100 relay to end out the meet. The event sign-up will be sent out via email closer to the track meet (once students have a better understanding of which events they may want to compete in). Following these races, we will have an adult 400m run, so bring your running shoes with and join in on the fun! Athletes will race against peers based on their grade level and awards will be given for the top three finishers. Races will be timed using hand timers and we will not utilize an automated timing system.
  • Ninja Adventure: Parents Day Out

    No school? No problem! Join us for two hours of fun and activities. We have warped walls, angled steps, salmon ladders, cliffhangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja-inspired obstacles! During this 2-hour event, your ninja will get to practice on 40+ obstacles, compete in a warped wall challenge, and play exciting ninja games. We have all the action needed to keep your ninja engaged and active!
  • Tonka Track & Field League (TTFL)

    Tonka Track & Field League (TTFL) is a six-week, twice-weekly program led by Minnetonka Skippers varsity athletes & coaches, offering age-appropriate instruction in running, field events and relays within a fun, supportive atmosphere. The first two weeks of the season are comprised of two practices before the schedule transitions to a single practice each week and a Sunday meet over the final four weeks. Practice sessions are designed to give participants exposure to the events they will compete in during each meet. *Please note, The first three weeks of practices will be held on Wednesday evenings, with the remaining three weeks of practice being held on Tuesday evenings*. There will also be an additional practice on the first two Saturdays of the season (4/11 & 4/18). Each meet will have three age divisions, K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th. Participants in the K-1st division can participate in up to 3 events each meet, while all other ages can compete in up to 4 events. K-1st Grade Event List: 50M dash, 100M dash, 200M dash, 4x100 relay, Standing Long Jump, and Running Long Jump 2nd-3rd Grade Event List: 100M dash, 200M dash, 400m run, 50M hurdles, 4x100 relay, Running Long Jump, and Shot Put 4th-5th Grade Event List: 100M dash, 200m dash, 400m run, 800m run, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, Running Long Jump, Shot Put, and High Jump
  • Tonka Trail Trot (One-Mile Run)

    Run the trails and hills in this exciting, cross country mile set on the beautiful campus of Minnetonka Community Education Center, Deephaven Elementary, and Burton Park. Participants will be assigned heats by grade and the one-mile route will be staffed for safety. April 14th is the final day to register and receive a Trail Trot shirt!   • Track & Field

    Combine technique, safety and fun with these track and field events that will keep you active and having fun. We teach sport-specific fundamentals, coordination and boost self-esteem throughout the program! Athletes will learn several Olympic-style events such as the 50m Dash, 100m Dash, 4X1 Relay, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus.
