Explore a variety of engaging topics, including leisure activities, work, celebrations and urban life. Join us as we delve into the culture, people and language of the German-speaking world!
This class is ideal for students who have completed German II with Martin or have prior experience with the language. We will meet weekly via Zoom and use the Linie 1, A1.2 textbook, along with the Google Classroom for course materials. We look forward to having you join us on this exciting cultural and linguistic journey!
Martin Hidy began his study of German with his European-born, German-speaking parents. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota and earned an undergraduate degree in German Education. He has taught German in both small-town and suburban schools and at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, most recently in the Edina Public Schools. His visits to the German-speaking world include seven trips and tours with students, adults, family, and friends. He has over twenty years of experience teaching German through the Eden Prairie Community Education program.
