Complete the majority of your coursework online (at your own pace), then finish your course in the classroom with our Instructor. This American Heart Association course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for childcare workers. Learn how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant until professional help arrives. The course covers the four steps of first aid and first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED, infant CPR and optional modules in adult CPR AED, child mask, infant mask and Asthma Care Training for Childcare Providers. MCE will provide a course link within 48 hours after registration. Students must complete the online portion before attending an onsite check-off session with the instructor. The onsite session is scheduled for 1.5 hours, which allows time for you to practice on a manikin before the final check-off with an instructor.
