This Pilates mat class will focus on developing core strength (abdominals, hips and back) and flexibility. We will be using one’s body weight and props to strengthen, lengthen and tone the body. Props help us connect to our bodies and the muscles we are working. We will also focus on Pilates movement principles and the breath throughout each class. Props for class include: Pilates/yoga mat, hand weights, 6ft light or medium flex band, 9" soft over-ball, 36" soft foam roller, hand towel. Benefits of this class: This is a whole body workout , building strength and flexibility. While building strength and flexibility we spend time on breathing, alignment and making mind to body connections with and without props.
