Artist Open Studio
Express your creative ideas with 2D painting in acrylics, oils, water color, and/or mixed media in this community-oriented open space. Explore different mediums and techniques, share and collaborate. All levels welcome, from beginning to advanced. Participants should bring their own equipment. Instructor will have acrylics and some starter brushes available. If you desire to branch out with other mediums, Instructor will help you get started with what supplies you will need. Grow and be challenged at your own pace. -
Beginner Glassblowing Series
Explore the art of lampworking and glassblowing. Students will learn about torch safety, operating involved equipment, and brief history of glass art. Students will begin with solid sculpting of simple shapes like marbles and cubes. With the assistance of our instructors, students can move on to hollow form objects like pendants and ornaments. All materials included in class fee. -
Bob Ross Oil Painting
Create and take home a gorgeous 20x16 oil painting in this step-by-step class, taught by our instructor certified in the Bob Ross method. This class will allow you to make your very own replica of a Bob Ross painting. Enjoy the relaxed approach in creating landscapes that may include mountains, lakes, hills, rivers, trees and sunsets. All levels of painters welcome. All painting supplies are included at no additional charge. Students need to provide an apron or smock. -
Cherry Blossom Acrylic Pour
Acrylic pours are a popular and easy way of painting that involves making the paints more fluid so that they can be poured directly onto the canvas without the use of brushes. Learn how to mix paints and create a directed pour and create a beautiful spring scene of colorful cherry blossom trees. Each participant will receive an 8 x 10 inch canvas and all the supplies needed to create their own masterpiece. Please bring a box to take your work home in. -

Intro to Glassblowing
This class is for newer lampworkers and people with little or no experience on the torch. Lampworking is a method of glassblowing using a fix mounted torch to melt and manipulate glass into a desired form. We will go over safety, the torch and glass, work on solid shaped objects and marbles, transitioning into multiple variations of pendants depending on what your comfort level is, or desire to create. -
Learn to Knit - My First Hat
Add some warmth to your winter! In this hands-on experience, you will learn the basics of knitting and create a hat. All supplies included. Lesson 1: You will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and knitting in the round. Lesson 2: You will learn to decrease in the round and cast off. -
Linocut Printmaking
Linocut is a printmaking technique in which you carve a design into a sheet of linoleum using a variety of specialized tools. Learn how to design, carve and create multiple prints of your image. Learn a bit of the history of linocut printmaking and the possibilities for more advanced applications of this art form. We will use Blick Ready Cut Printing Blocks which are more versatile and easier to work with. Lino prints make perfect greeting and note cards. -
Norwegian Art: Rosemaling
Experience the traditional Norwegian Art form known as Rosmaling. This style of painting includes floral motif painted on wooden objects or furniture. Choose to spend your class time practicing and perfecting the strokes or bring a small wooden object to class to paint. -

The Art & Craft of Floral Arranging
Learn the secrets of floral design to create everything from small arrangements to dramatic centerpieces. You’ll learn how to best condition cut flowers and how to select the best shapes and colors for an arrangement. Come alone or as a group and join us for one or all classes in this series. Registration will close 3 days prior to the class start date to allow enough time to acquire adequate course materials. Please bring a box for transporting your arrangements. The Perfect Rose The rose is arguably the most loved and popular flower ever, and the focus of this class. You will learn two techniques to create one dozen and two dozen rose arrangements, both modern and traditional styles. Your arrangement is yours to take home or (if willing) to gift to a friend or loved one. Spring Floral Arrangement In this class, you will be introduced to different spring flower varieties, learn the basics of flower prep/maintenance, and get advice on designing arrangements that have that "wow" factor. Then you will select flowers from a variety of seasonal favorites to create your own custom arrangement in a white ceramic vase – perfect centerpiece on your brunch table! Introduction to Ikebana Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers. Explore the values of discipline, knowledge of rules and forms, and idealized approach to nature using fresh flowers and greenery. Create distinctive, elegant designs that exude a sense of harmony, balance, and well-being while learning the history and fundamental approaches of Ikebana. This class will begin with a short demonstration of the Ikebana form in which flowers are arranged asymmetrically in a low bowl with water visible and then participants will create their own arrangements to bring home. All supplies and tools for use during class are provided. Mother's Day Flower An interactive, hands-on, fun, and creative workshop for little flower enthusiasts. Kids, along with an adult, will learn the basics of floral design, connect with nature, and let their individual style shine through. We guide the children through the techniques of basic floristry and help them to plan, design and create an arrangement of their own to take home. The simple floristry skills children learn during this class are entertaining while also improving cognitive skills and dexterity. Participants will take home two arrangements. -
