  • Beginner Archery (Level 2)

    Archery improves concentration, physical fitness and is a lot of fun! Learn technique, rules, scoring, history, etiquette and equipment care. For beginners only. Coached by NASP-certified instructors. All equipment provided. Prerequisite: Intro to Archery (Level 1). Beginner Archery will introduce specialized learning for each archer and they will learn to hit their target. This class will cover safety, rules, techniques and prepare them for the Intermediate Archery Class. This course uses curriculum from the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) in collaboration with the Minnesota DNR. Participants will learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe, disciplined training program with an emphasis on safety.
  • Competition Archery Team

    This Olympic-style archery program covers archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration and self-improvement. Coached by NASP-certified instructors. All equipment is provided. For Competition Archery, it is encouraged that participants have prior archery experience. This season, we will be dividing our practice slots between the grade levels. Grades 4-8 will practice Tues./Thurs. from 6-7:30 PM. and Grades 9-12 will practice Tues./Thurs. from 7:30-9:00 PM. If schedule accommodations are needed, please reach out to the Program Manager. Participants will practice up to 2 hours per week and will perform in 5 or 6 tournaments through the extended metro area from January through March. Tournaments may be up to 1-1.5 hours away. Team members may register for the state tournament separately. Please attend a MANDATORY parent/participant meeting on Tuesday, October 14, at 6:00 PM in the MMW Small Gym.

    Intermediate Archery (Level 3)

    Archery improves concentration, physical fitness and is a lot of fun! Learn technique, rules, scoring, history, etiquette and equipment care. For intermediate archers only. Coached by NASP-certified instructors. All equipment provided. Prerequisite: Beginner Archery (Level 2). Intermediate Archery will have archers hitting their target every time and honing their skills. Once completed with Intermediate Archery they will be ready to join the Competition Archery team. This course uses curriculum from the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) in collaboration with the Minnesota DNR. Participants will learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe, disciplined training program with an emphasis on safety.

    Intro to Archery (Level 1)

Coached by NASP-certified instructors. All equipment provided. Intro to Archery is a basic learning course designed to introduce new archers to a bow, arrow & target. This class will cover safety, rules, and technique, which will prepare them for the Level 2 Beginner Archery Class. No prerequisite required to take this course. This course uses curriculum from the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) in collaboration with the Minnesota DNR. Participants will learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe, disciplined training program with an emphasis on safety.
