Discover the art and research-based science of salsa-making as you learn to prepare three delicious varieties: refrigerated, canned and fermented. You’ll go home with your own jars and the confidence to make more.
This class blends research-based techniques with practical experience. Topics include food safety, acidity control, jar preparation, blanching, boiling water canning and fermentation. Led by Certified Food Preservation Consultants from the University of Minnesota Extension and Hennepin County Master Gardener Volunteers, this workshop is both informative and fun.
