Adult Enrichment / Focus on Family -
Winter/Spring 2025

What is the "Science of Reading"? What is Phonemic Awareness, and why is it important? Join us for Secrets of a Reading Teacher to demystify the ins and outs of learning to read.

Holly Pfeiffer will give you the inside scoop on how the brain learns to read, the most recent developments in reading instruction, what's important (and what's not important) when learning to read, and easy-to-do activities to do at home. Her down-to-earth, straightforward approach will give you the tools you need to navigate your child's education and reading journey.

This 75-minute workshop is designed for parents, families, and caregivers of children ages birth-grade 4. Holly Pfeiffer is an educator, personal reading coach, literacy specialist, parent advocate, and mom of two growing boys.
