Minnetonka Community Education

Students of all ages and abilities are welcome! If you are new to an instrument, our instructors will help you develop your musical skills. If you are an experienced musician, our instructors will help you excel.

Weekly private lessons in various instruments are offered after school and in the evenings from September through May. Please indicate your preferred day and time. Individual lesson times will be confirmed starting the 2nd week of September.

Registration: Enrollment and fees are for the entire 2024-25 school year. MMA follows the Minnetonka District calendar.

Missed Lessons: Unfortunately, we cannot offer makeup lessons or issue refunds if a student misses a lesson. As a courtesy to your teacher, please notify him/her as soon as possible if a lesson will be missed, or call the MCEC main office at 952-401-6800. If a teacher misses a lesson due to illness or emergency, a makeup lesson will be scheduled.

• Thursday Lesson: 9/26 (late start due to Elementary School Curriculum Night on 9/19)

MMA Private Music Lesson Teachers at Scenic Heights: 

Monday: Jane Aagenes (piano), Matt Kapka (starts at 4:30pm for piano, trumpet), Ethan Johnson (starts at 4pm for piano, double bass)

Tuesday: Martha Lisman (piano, violin, viola, cello, bass); Jane Aagenes (piano); Nick Raimondi (starts at 4pm and ends at 6:30pm for piano, saxophone, clarinet and beginning band instruments)

Wednesday: Jane Aagenes (piano), Nick Raimondi (starts at 4pm and ends at 6:30pm for piano, saxophone, clarinet and beginning band instruments), Matt Kapka (starts at 4:30pm for piano, trumpet)
