It’s never too late to start learning music! Whether beginner or returning player, we'll craft a personalized lesson plan for you. Eight weekly, 45-minute lessons start on the week of October 21. Learning to play musical instruments as an adult stimulates brain function and is a great way to express your creativity. Our instructors are experienced in teaching adult students; they will give you the knowledge, technique and confidence to play music. Daytime piano lessons are scheduled on Monday through Thursday at the Minnetonka Community Education Center. Please call 952-401-6846 for more information. Start your child's musical journey with us! Our professional piano instructors are experienced in teaching parents and young children. We use books specifically written for young beginners. Lessons start on the week of October 21. Eight, weekly 30-minute lessons are scheduled Monday through Thursday starting the week of October 21. Weekly, individual online piano lessons are offered after school and in the evenings from September through May. Please indicate your preferred day and time. MMA follows the Minnetonka Public Schools calendar. Missed Lessons: Unfortunately, we cannot offer makeup lessons or issue refunds if a student misses a lesson. As a courtesy to your teacher, please notify him/her as soon as possible if a lesson will be missed, or call the MCEC main office at 952-401-6800. If a teacher misses a lesson due to illness or emergency, a makeup lesson will be scheduled. Minnetonka Philharmonic
Classes and Performing Groups (school year)

Learn symphonic music and challenge yourself to the next level of performance as a member of the Minnetonka Philharmonic. Middle school students may audition through their school orchestra teachers for this group in late September. Students will rehearse at MME on Friday mornings before school. Minnetonka Philharmonic will perform as a part of the Winter and Spring Orchestra Concerts at the Minnetonka High School (MHS) Arts Center and attend the Middle Level Orchestra Festival and Competition. Check with your orchestra teacher for an audition date and time. Once accepted into Minnetonka Philharmonic, please register here.

NEW Chinese Band Class

Calling students in drums, piano, strings, guitar, wood wind and brass instrument students! Let's get together and learn the traditional and contemporary Chinese music in the Numbered Musical Notation, that many Chinese songs are composed in this format. This class is sponsored by Minnetonka China Center.
