Hour 1: Take Control of your health: No diabetes required- Learn the basics of Diabetes Care and Management

Discover how to empower individuals with prediabetes and diabetes, their families and caregivers with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to effectively manage this chronic disease and lead healthier lives.

Hour 2: Diabetes Management: The Weight-loss Drug Revolution

Explore the ongoing obesity epidemic and highlights the latest advancements in treatment. Attendees will explore new FDA-approved Semaglutide and Tirzepatide medications, gaining insights into their efficacy, mechanisms and clinical applications. This session aims to equip participants with up-to-date knowledge to better manage and understand obesity and diabetes.

Colleen Angeline Cook

Colleen created a series of diabetes education classes designed to empower her community with the knowledge and tools needed to take control of their health. Her mission is to guide you through the challenges of diabetes management and help you build a confident, sustainable path to wellness.

In addition to her diabetes work, Colleen also leads a cardiac class focused on heart health and medications. She explains how cardiac medications work, their potential side effects, and why understanding them is key to your overall well-being.

Whether you're managing diabetes, caring for a loved one, or simply wanting to better understand your heart health, Colleen is here to support, educate, and inspire you on your health journey.
