Minnetonka Preschool Knit Hat
Intentional teaching/healing storytelling can enhance your relationship with a child. You will learn to design a story that can address a problem, celebrate an occasion, or emphasize the strengths of your child.
Direct person to person interaction is important for children's development. The class will begin with listening to an adult level teaching/healing story, then progress through an example of a story for a child while learning the techniques of story building and telling. The class will then be divided into groups to craft stories to be shared at the end of class.
Debra Darby is a licensed social worker (MSW, L.I.S.W.) who worked as a school social worker and a healing artist for many years. She is a teaching/healing storyteller who has done this work in many schools and other community organizations. She is a member of Story Arts of MN and the International Healing Story Alliance.
