Minnetonka Preschool Knit Hat
Learn best management practices for keeping chickens during Minnesota winters. The class will cover winter hardy breeds, chicken coop and run preparations with considerations for ventilation, lighting and heating, poultry nutrition, general care, and selling eggs.
Please bring a photo of your chicken coop and run.
Colleen Carlson has served as the Ag Production Systems Extension Educator in Scott and Carver counties since 2016. Colleen teaches a number of poultry classes through UMN Extension and has raised a variety of chickens, ducks, turkey, geese and peafowl. Colleen is a 5th generation poultry keeper.
