Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines.

New, hands-on lessons from various engineering disciplines. Focusing on developing 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and peer collaboration.

These life skills provide students with the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything! Engineering for Kids has a library of 300+ individual lessons which continues to grow so we never have to repeat lessons.

Fall 1 Lessons (classes beginning in January): Order may vary.

Civil Engineering Gingerbread House Students are challenged to build a non-edible gingerbread house.
Mechanical Engineering Climbster Students use gravity & friction to get a paper climber to the top & bottom of an inclined plane.
Aerospace Engineering Foam Rocket Students learn about the principles of flight with a foam rocket.
Chemical Engineering Quicksand Students learn about quicksand and make their own using a non-Newtonian fluid.
Marine Engineering Diving Game Students learn about buoyancy and pressure with their own diving game.
Mechanical Engineering Ding Dong Pizza Delivery Students build their own pizza delivery system.

Mechanical Engineering Boomerang Can Students learn how a boomerang works and make their own boomerang can.
Chemical Engineering Lava Lamp Students learn about chemical reactions with a lava lamp.
Marine Engineering Aquascope Students build an aquascope for a seek & find challenge.
Mechanical Engineering Wind-Up Toy Students learn how a wind-up toy works and make their own toy. 
Civil Engineering Rock, Paper, Scissors Students are challenged to build a structure with rock-, paper & scissors.
Aerospace Engineering Bernoulli's Frog Students learn about Bernoulli's principle with their own frog levitation toy.
