Welcome to the 2nd annual Minnesota Vikings High School Girls Flag Football League!
Girls flag football is rapidly growing in popularity and will be an event in the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Teams and Participation:
The league features high school teams from across Minnesota, providing a competitive and supportive environment for girls to showcase their skills and passion for football.
Minnetonka will have a varsity team participating in regular games and post-season playoffs. Pending final registration numbers, a JV team may be supported and tryouts may be necessary.
Games:
Our team will be placed in a division against nearby schools for 8 regular season games.
Games will take place on Sunday afternoons with a double-header each week: 4/26, 5/3, 5/10 and 5/17. This will lead up to a state tournament at the end of the season, with division winners heading to the championship at the Vikings TCO Facility in June.
Practice:
Teams will practice beginning after spring break on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm, with some makeups on Fridays.
This team is utilizing grant funding from the Minnesota Vikings to cover a portion of costs for the 2026 season. Click here for more info on high school girls flag: https://www.vikings.com/community/youth-football/girls-flag
