Join the Minnetonka Skipperettes Competition Dance Team for a day of dance! You’ll learn and practice leaps, turns, kicks and jumps. You will perform a dance routine at the end of the clinic.Participants will have the opportunity to perform at a home Minnetonka High School Football game on October 12 or 17. More information will be passed along to parents as we get closer to fall. - The Youth Clinic for grades K-5 has a full schedule with a variety of activities that include team-building games and making a special craft project with a Skipperettes buddy.- The Prep Clinic for grades 6-8 is designed for older dancers who might be thinking of trying dance for the first time or trying out for dance team in the future. Either way it will be a fun day of bonding and dancing with the Skipperettes. The theme of this fall dance clinic is "Being a Future Skipperette." Instructors will focus on appropriate kick formation as well as turns and leaps. New this year, the clinic will feature a make-up applying tutorial, so you can see how the Skipperettes get ready for competition. Official dance costumes will be on display so you can truly see and feel the life of a Skipperette!Dancers will be split into groups based on age and grade. No experience is necessary. Dancers should bring a bag lunch, water bottle, wear tennis shoes or dance shoes, and dress in comfortable black dance pants/leggings and a white, blue or black top. Parents are invited to the last 15 minutes of the clinic for a performance that is sure to be a winning touchdown.
