Starting SoonActing with Good V.I.B.E.SPerforming ArtsStrengthen your actor's toolbox by honing the artists' tools of voice, imagination, body, exploration and self-discipline. Step out of your comfort zone and VIBE with your friends! Team-taught by two professional actor educators from CLIMB Theatre, participants will build a strong foundation for theater performance and strengthen social skills through scene work and ensemble building exercises. From Page to StagePerforming ArtsEver wanted to turn your favorite book or story into a play? Work with CLIMB Resident artists to identify which story or stories you want to adapt and from there, the sky's the limit! Participants should bring a favorite book with them. On the final day, the world’s newest adaptation of the stories will be shared with families and friends.Winter/Spring 2023

WaitlistPinocchio Musical TheaterPerforming ArtsWhat do you wish upon a star? Choose your own character and learn music and choreography from Pinocchio as we put together our own musical! Learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Master properly speaking your lines, blocking a scene, developing your character and much more! We will also play fun creative games. No experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or dance shoes. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class.Winter/Spring 2023

PopularStevie Ray ImprovPerforming ArtsLearn to think on your feet, gain self-confidence and have a ton of fun performing with your friends. No experience is necessary. Stevie Ray’s Improv Company is one of the longest-running improv theaters in Minnesota. The class culminates with you performing a recital for family and friends at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret, located at the famous Chanhassen Dinner Theatre! Students will end the program with a recital at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre for friends and family. Audience members will be charged $5 to attend the recital. This goes towards the Stevie Ray Improv Company staff for hosting the show and Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. Please see below for the schedule of when your recital will be! World Premiere!Performing ArtsWork together to create a play from scratch! Direct and write your work of art, then share it with your family and friends at the World Premiere of your collective creation. Imagine what the collective creativity of a room full of young people might develop when tasked with collaboratively creating a play. You are led through visual arts, movement and other arts entry points with the end goal of creating a single original script. In the final session, the world premiere is staged and performed by CLIMB Theatre professional actors (and willing participants from your family). Strong reading or writing skills are not a requirement... only your imagination!Winter/Spring 2023
