  • Boulder Pointe Equestrian - 3 Day Horse Camp

    Experience a mini-week long horse camp. Life in the barn will include daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses and feeding. Spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Parent Drop-off is at 9am and Parent pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. ● No flip flops. ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided.     Learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50 minutes (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn and walk on your own. Other activities may include making horse treats, doing crafts, and playing games. You’ll also learn how to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Parent Drop-off is at 9am and Parent pickup is 3 pm.     Experience everyday life at a barn! You’ll experience daily riding, learn how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and care for them at the end of the day. Spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. At the end of the week, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has been learning! Please note that riding takes up about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day Monday through Friday. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. However there is a “show” for the parents Fridays of week-long camps at 1:30pm! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride and meet their horse they worked during the week.   • Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - 2024

    Join us on an incredible six-day canoe adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Experience the beauty of the outdoors, develop leadership skills, challenge yourself and have the experience of a lifetime! July 6-11 for students Completing Grades 7-11 in the 2023-24 School Year. Guides are Minnetonka teachers experienced in wilderness camping. Full outfitting is included. When you sign up, under the notes section of your registration you may indicate one friend you want to be in your group. When we set up groups, we will do our best to keep you with your friend and keep friend groups together. If that is not possible, we will call you. Payment options: 1.) Full payment at registration: $865 or 2.) Payment of $395 at registration and second payment of $405 charged May 30.   • Family Camping & Outdoor Cooking 101

    Learn the basics of camping and cooking outdoors! Learn how to build a fire, put up tents, outdoor survival techniques and cooking over a fire. End with a group camping trip! All families must bring their own tents, sleeping bags and any other materials needed for the camping trip.
  • My Little Horse Camp

    Campers will get to ride a real horse in an arena, meet a number of different horses at Boulder Pointe and learn how to groom the horses...all with a focus on safety! In addition, students will do an art project and have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. Stations are split into 15 minute intervals to keep everyone engaged. Parents have the opportunity to lead their child on the horse and take photographs as they go. PARENT/GUARDIAN: This 2-hour camp is designed for parent/guardian participation. Parent/Guardian is expected to remain with their child during the entire duration of the camp. WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena.   • OutWest Cowboy & Cowgirl Camp: Ranch Hands

    Ranch Hands is the perfect way to learn about horse safety, grooming and horse care. Leave knowing how to saddle up, ride in a ranch show and even what it might be like to own your own horse! Older kids will gain confidence through built-in mentorship opportunities that help them learn by doing. Younger campers will be safe with a foundation of essential horse skills. For all campers, age-specific activities and time in the saddle will provide an experience of living the ranch lifestyle. You will cover essential things to know about horses like safety, breeds and colors, tack, parts of the horse, and horsemanship through hands-on activities. OutWest has quality, kid-safe horses ready for the job. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Snacks will be provided. The camp is held at OutWest Ranch in Buffalo (6069 County Rd 33 SE, Buffalo, MN 55313), and is led by OutWest professional instructors. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to the camp.
  • OutWest Cowboy & Cowgirl Camp: Wranglers

    Experience this two-day camp for the youngest riders. Wranglers will provide a safe way to experience the fun of the West while learning about horses. You will cover safety, grooming, tack and riding while being led by an adult on a kid-friendly horse. You will also learn about the “real life” of caring for horses with fun Western games and activities. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen. The camp is held at OutWest Ranch in Buffalo (6069 County Rd 33 SE, Buffalo, MN 55313), and is led by OutWest professional instructors. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to the camp.
  • Summer Rec

    Have fun outdoors playing kickball, dodgeball, capture the flag, water relays and all your favorite outdoor games. You'll also create arts and crafts, go on nature walks and more! We'll end the summer with a Field Day. Summer Rec is led by Minnetonka Community Education camp counselors and includes structured activities as well as free play. Please bring a snack and a water bottle and wear clothes for outdoor play. No Summer Rec July 2nd-4th. This summer's locations: Freeman Park, Eureka Road at Hwy. 7, Shorewood, Fields 4, 5, 6. Thorpe Park, 3725 Hamilton Ave, Deephaven, Playground area.

    Tonka Climbing Club is looking for donations to purchase updated equipment for the club to use for years to come. This equipment will be available to all kids registered in Tonka Climbing Club.
