  • Acting with Good V.I.B.E.S

    Strengthen your actor's toolbox by honing the artists tools of Voice, Imagination, Body, Exploration and Self Discipline. Team taught by 2 professional actor educators from CLIMB Theatre, participants will build a strong foundation for theatre performance and strengthen social skills through scene work, ensemble building exercises. The final session will culminate in a short final sharing for participating families.
  • Acting with Good V.I.B.E.S: Level 2

    Using the foundation built in Acting with Good V.I.B.ES. students will apply these tools to a specific story while gaining a deeper understanding of ways to use Voice, Imagination, Body, Exploration and Self Discipline [V.I.B.E.S.]. Team taught by 2 professional actor educators from CLIMB Theatre, participants will explore scene work, staging and ensemble work. The final session will culminate in a short final sharing for participating families. Pre-requisite: Acting with Good VIBES or other beginning acting or theatre class.
  • Anastasia Musical Theater

    What if you were royalty and didn’t know it? Let’s take a journey to the past and find out! We'll learn music and choreography from Anastasia and create our own musical. Everyone will learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun creative games. No experience necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or dance shoes. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class.

  • Minnetonka Youth Theatre: Acting I

    Join us for a fun filled theater camp focused on the craft of acting. Have a blast developing characters, playing improv games, creating and performing short monologues, scenes and plays. This course is designed for the performer who loves theater and is looking for more opportunities to hone their acting skills. Students will learn how to audition successfully, collaborate, and use their imaginations while exploring a variety of fun characters. This acting camp is sure to be a summer highlight and will build student confidence, foster friendships, and improve performance skills! No prior acting experience required. Students should bring a bag lunch and water bottle.

    Join us for a fun-filled week focused on the craft of acting. This is a level two acting class and while prior acting experience is not required, we will move at a more rigorous pace. Focus will be on creating believable characters, acing your audition, cold reads, improv skills, scene work and more. Students should bring a bag lunch and water bottle.

  • Prairie Fire

    Please note: Prairie Fire has made the difficult decision to cancel our July show (Robin Hood) due to COVID-19 safety concerns. Peter Pan (August) has not yet been cancelled and we are hopeful that we will still be able to hold this camp. Professional actors and directors will work with up to 60 young actors in each production. The troupe will rehearse for one week and perform the play on Friday and Saturday. Participants experience the excitement of producing an original musical production based on a classic tale. Set, costumes, props and makeup are provided.. Schedule: Auditions will be held on Monday. Rehearsals will be held throughout the remainder of the week (Tuesday-Thursday). Rehearsal schedules will be handed out after the auditions and will generally run between 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m. (students may choose to stay at camp from 8am-12:15pm or be picked up when not rehearsing). On Friday, rehearsal will begin at 3:30pm in lieu of the regular morning session. Performances are Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 12pm. Please send a snack with your child each day and a bag dinner on Friday. Tickets: Two free tickets will be given out to each participant. Additional tickets may be purchased before the show on Friday and Saturday. Attendance: Rehearsal time is limited, so it is crucial for students to be there for their practice times. In addition, it is expected that all members will perform on both Friday and Saturday. Director Roles: Peter Pan Director's roles: Captain Hook/Mr. Darling & Tiger Lil/Mrs. Darling (dual role) Due to cast size, not all actors will receive speaking lines, but all will be involved in musical numbers throughout the show.
