Youth Enrichment / Performing Arts -
Please note: Prairie Fire has made the difficult decision to cancel our July show (Robin Hood) due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
Peter Pan (August) has not yet been cancelled and we are hopeful that we will still be able to hold this camp.
Professional actors and directors will work with up to 60 young actors in each production. The troupe will rehearse for one week and perform the play on Friday and Saturday. Participants experience the excitement of producing an original musical production based on a classic tale.
Set, costumes, props and makeup are provided..
Schedule: Auditions will be held on Monday. Rehearsals will be held throughout the remainder of the week (Tuesday-Thursday). Rehearsal schedules will be handed out after the auditions and will generally run between 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m. (students may choose to stay at camp from 8am-12:15pm or be picked up when not rehearsing). On Friday, rehearsal will begin at 3:30pm in lieu of the regular morning session. Performances are Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 12pm. Please send a snack with your child each day and a bag dinner on Friday.
Tickets: Two free tickets will be given out to each participant. Additional tickets may be purchased before the show on Friday and Saturday.
Attendance: Rehearsal time is limited, so it is crucial for students to be there for their practice times. In addition, it is expected that all members will perform on both Friday and Saturday.
- Peter Pan Director's roles: Captain Hook/Mr. Darling & Tiger Lil/Mrs. Darling (dual role)
Due to cast size, not all actors will receive speaking lines, but all will be involved in musical numbers throughout the show.
