Winter/ Spring 2021
Gentle Yoga will guide you skillfully through your yoga poses and teach you alignment to connect those poses to the movement of your breath, creating a balance between relaxation and physical challenge. You’ll stretch and strengthen all the major muscles to help you move more freely and easily in your body. You'll experience a cool down and a guided relaxation at the end of class, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready for whatever comes your way.
Sessions will be recorded by Instructor and available for 7 days after class to registered students who miss a class. Student should notify Instructor to access the recorded session.
You will need a yoga mat. Premium mats available for purchase at MCEC: click here to order online or call 952-401-6800.
My teaching philosophy: “Define your goals, skillfully work through them and your best self will come shining through.”
I teach to help you discover how fun it is to move, breathe and appreciate yourself on every level.
I’ve worked up, down, through and around poses for over 27 years. During that time I’ve called on different disciplines to augment and enhance the practice and keep it fresh and fun. I’ve got lots of tools and interesting ways to help students stay safe and inspired to find their own best alignment without self-judgment.
My students will tell you I teach with a sense of humor and am always there to cheer them on. I enjoy helping you find success – in any form – on the mat. This mindset leads to creative ways of approaching any pose; whether that’s physically changing the way your body moves, or understanding your reaction to who you are being while in the pose. It’s all a learning game where the pay off is a stronger more self-aware, resilient you.
I am registered at the highest level with Yoga Alliance as a “E-RYT-500 YACEP” which just means I am an experienced yoga teacher; studying and teaching yoga for many years. I am also qualified to provide continuing education to teachers.
I owned a yoga studio for 9 years, have taught in several area studios, have lead teacher trainings, and retreats and continue to offer classes, workshops and private instruction. I’m married to my college sweetheart, have a wonderful son and regularly share my home with a cat or two. I love to hike, garden, cook, bake (and eat) pies, read, learn new things and in general appreciate living and sharing life with family and good friends.
Ultimately, I teach to help you discover just how amazing you truly are.
