Spend the week preparing for a Tea Party. Accomplish all the chores the old-fashioned way, while learning local history in the process.
A fine tea requires preparation. Boys and girls will spend the week preparing for a lovely gathering at the end of the week. There will be laundry to do, napkins to sew and butter to churn. Campers will accomplish all the chores the old-fashioned way while learning local history in the process. We will make time for a couple of field trips to local historic landmarks as well as play historic games and sing some old-fashioned songs. Of course, the children will learn manners and social graces that will be put into practice. All these accomplishments will be celebrated together on the last day of camp when the campers will enjoy a tea together.
In partnership with the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society.
