Glass Wine Stopper and Glass Straws

You will make a colorful marble or sculpted shape to weld to the top of a stopper shaped glass piece, we will then cut a groove into it to fit a silicone gasket that will seal your unfinished wine bottle. Next we will cut glass tubing down to size and flame polish the ends. Help save the planet with your own reusable glass straws.

Skylab Glass Arts

Chris Eberhardt and Alex Kasick have been studying glass art for over half a decade. They began at Anoka Ramsey Community College studying soft glass art. Three years ago, with the assistance of David Schuster, Skylab’s owner, the three of them dove into the new borosilicate style of glass becoming popular throughout glass art. Under their guidance, students find themselves in a comfortable learning environment designed to foster creativity and positivity.
