Minnetonka Parks and Recreation is teaming with the Minnesota High School Cycling League (MNHSCL) to offer summer mountain bike sessions! The goal of these sessions is to empower youth through the sport of cycling, whether they are interested in cycling as a life-long sport or in racing in the high school league. Certified coaches with the MNHSCL will teach mountain bike skills in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Riders will be bused to local trails each week to learn technical skills and ride. This new program is geared for students who have never been on a mountain bike, are new to mountain biking or who want additional biking instruction to build their skills. Students may bring their own bike or borrow one for the duration of the class.
Eligible riders will be entering grades 7-12 for the 2018-2019 school year.
Fee covers: Transportation, loaner bike (if needed) and experienced coaches. Riders should bring: helmet, hydration pack/water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, etc.
